Words of thanks from the class of 2012
Dear DFS,
I would like to thank Dollars for Scholars for this scholarship. I will be attending Salve Regina in the fall for nursing. My goal is to be a maternity nurse in a hospital, preferably Children's Hospital of Boston.
Thank you,

Thank you for the Dollars for Scholars Scholarship. I will be attending Johnson and Wales University majoring in Criminal Justice. Johnson and Wales has matched your award. I am grateful you chose me for this honor. The money will help ease the financial burden.
Thank you,

Dear DFS Scholarship Committee,
I would like to sincerely thank you for presenting me with the Friends of Hanson Visiting Nurses Association scholarship. I will be attending UMass Amherst in the fall and this scholarship will certainly make my education more feasible for my parents and myself. I would also like to thank you for your dedication to such an incredible program. DFS helps so many students and I have really enjoyed working as a student volunteer in the program over the past few years. Thank you again; this scholarship is helping me fulfill my goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
Sincerely,
LW
I would like to thank you for awarding me a very generous scholarship. Every bit is helpful in paying the expensive costs of college. I will be attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. There I will major in astronomy, although I may change that to something else in a science field. Either way, I hope to make the world a better place with my education. Thank you once again for making it easier for me to achieve this goal.

Thank you Dollars for Scholars!
I cannot thank you enough for your generous contribution to my higher education. The Ernest A. Moore scholarship in the amount of $1500 will lift a huge burden off of my shoulders. Next year I will be attending UMass Amherst majoring in linguistics and German.
Thank you again!
Sincerely,
NM
Dollars for Scholars Committee,
Thank you so much for your generous consideration and choice in choosing me for a scholarship. I will be continuing on to Stonehill College in the fall and majoring in psychology. Your scholarship will further my educational opportunities; it is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
AH
Dear Dollars for Scholars,
I am writing to thank you for your generous $250 scholarship. I am honored to learn I was a selected recipient of your scholarship. I am very appreciative of your support. I am a kinesiology major at UMass Amherst. I plan to pursue a career as a physical therapist upon graduating. The financial assistance you have provided will be a great help in paying toward my educational expenses.
Thank you again for your generosity in awarding me the Dollars for Scholars scholarship. Your support will allow me to concentrate more of my time to studying. I hope to one day give back to the community or help future students, as you have helped me.
Sincerely,
PM
Dear DFS,
Thank you so much for giving me a scholarship! I've enjoyed working at DFS events over the years. Next year I'll be attending Roger Williams with an undeclared major; my interests are so widespread! I plan to be involved in everything I can be, of course.
Thanks again,
AD
Dear Dollars for Scholars of Whitman and Hanson,
Thank you for your generous awards in the form of a four hundred twenty-five dollar and a two hundred twenty-five dollar scholarship. In the fall, I will be attending the University of New Hampshire. Originally, I had planned on attending a smaller college but was pleasantly surprised when I visited the University of New Hampshire campus.
As of now, my plans are to complete a master's degree in Business Administration. I had the opportunity in high school to explore business classes and found that business was extremely interesting and offered various avenues that one could pursue. During my four years at the high school, I was a three-season athlete. My sports were track, baseball and soccer. As a captain of the soccer team, I co-founded Panther Soccer Cares, raising $4,500 for ALS research. I hope to use my business education in the medical or bio-tech research field.
Thank you again for the Dollars for Scholars of Whitman and Hanson scholarship. The committee works hard raising dollars for the senior class and the award's night is special to those that participate, seniors and families alike.
Sincerely,
PK
